Work is fully underway for Aldi Narooma as part of the Narooma Plaza complex – the new complex will encompass a brand new Woolworths Store (which opened in November 2019), an Aldi and other speciality stores. Construction has commenced and the anticipated completion date is September 2020. The project is running to schedule.
The new Woolworths Merimbula store will officially open its doors on Wednesday 21 November 2018.
To celebrate, store manager Lakeeta Ferguson and the rest of the team will host a range of grand opening activities from 8.30am, including a performance by students from Pambula Primary and the cake and ribbon cutting before welcoming customers into the new store.
The opening is also being celebrated by Rankin Builders, after one of the company’s biggest builds to date.
“In terms of cost, this is the biggest project we have done because of the suspended slabs we are standing on and the 200 car park spaces underneath,” Don Hassan of Rankin Builders said.
Rankin Builders are proud to announce that we successfully tendered and accepted the Narooma Plaza development project.
The proposed amendment to incorporate a second supermarket into the existing Development Application has been approved by council, which means both Woolworths and Aldi are the proposed supermarkets. Narooma Plaza are well underway with their leasing program and have several interested parties keen to join Narooma Plaza. We are currently planning to commence our redevelopment program in late 2018 with completion of Stage 1 prior to Xmas 2019.
